BACKGROUND
All living things must have water to survive. Without water, our body would stop working properly. Water makes up more than half of our body weight and a person can't survive for more than a few days without it.
But what is the water we drink made of? Can we rely on drinking tap water?
According to recent news and reports, most tap (supply) and well water in Dhaka are not safe for drinking due to heavy industrial and environmental pollution. Toxic bacteria, chemicals and heavy metals routinely penetrate and pollute our water sources making people sick while exposing them to long term health consequences such as liver damage, kidney failure, cancer, diarrhea and other serious conditions. We have reached the point where all sources of our drinking water, including municipal water systems, wells, lakes, and rivers contain high level of contamination.
Will boiling the water make it safe to drink?
It is advised to boil the water because it is expected to get rid of Parasites, Bacteria, Viruses and the Cryptosporidium. It is true that boiling decreases the fatality of supply water. But boiling water does not able to remove microbes totally. Once the water has been boiled, debris, dead cells and toxin excreted by these organisms are left behind. However, there are few bacteria that can create cyst around them and remain alive even in high temperatures.
Now, on the surface it sounds like good news to say, "Boil your water!” Yes it will only kill the living things in the water. But again the bad news is the toxin left from the bugs will remain and cause harm.
What about the inorganic substances? Boiling water cannot remove any dissolve solids or harmful substances like Arsenic, Lead, Cadmium, Cyanide etc. Scientists suggest not using hot tap water for cooking, since hot water dissolve Lead and Arsenic more easily than cold water.
Besides the germs and inorganic substances, the color, appearance, taste, smell, and odor of water is the first clue to the water that there may be a problem with the drinking water.
However, handy ordinary filters can remove few pollutants bigger than 5 microns. But there are pollutants less than 1 micron (even up to 0.1 microns) causing severe damage to us. The best thing you can really do is to purify your drinking water with the help of a number of filter stages and latest R.O. and U.V. technologies.
In this situation described above, our Company A1 Corporation Ltd. established a water treatment plant for the processing of ground water of 800 feet. Usually water has to undergo a total of several purification steps to become suited to drink. We use latest Reverse Osmosis (RO) system and U.V. Ray for purification which are the latest technologies known in the world.
Our mission is to provide people with unlimited amount of safe purified drinking water anytime at their convenience and at a low cost. We strive to maintain the quickest turnaround and most competitive pricing.
